Where Are the Best Food Trucks in Traverse City?

It’s a restaurant on wheels, so their hours and locations may change. But don’t worry, with so many food truck options in Traverse City, if the one you want is closed, there’s probably another nearby.

Norma’s Tamales

Typically found across from the Dairy Lodge on Division at Randolph, Norma’s Tamales serves authentic Mexican food in a low-key gravel lot. They provide tables to enjoy your meal, and in the summer months, dessert is just across the street at the famous soft-serve ice cream shop.

Little Fleet

Well known for its curated collection of food trucks and accompanying indoor bar with scratch cocktails, the Little Fleet in downtown Traverse City is a deeply loved destination for locals and tourists alike. This is by far the most popular Traverse City food truck court. There’s excellent outdoor seating and many different food options depending on what you’re in the mood for. Can’t decide? You can’t go wrong with a smash burger or cheeseburger fries from Glendale Ave.

Spruce Kitchen

Located outside Silver Spruce Brewing on 8th Street, this food truck serves food to match their beer: pretzels, nachos, sausages, and wursts. Enjoy classic German-inspired beers with a focus on lagers in an open setting. You’ll also find IPAs and mixed fermentation on tap.

Howard’s Hot Dogs

This small hot dog stand sets up most weekends outside Union Street Station during evening hours. Howard’s is a convenient (and delicious) way to fill up your stomach between rounds or top off the tank before heading home.

Archie’s

Located inside The Workshop Brewing Company, this food truck is known for sliders, gouda mac ‘n’ cheese, and for getting very creative with their sauces and flavor combos. Grab a fine small-batch pint at the bar and enjoy your meal inside the spacious brewery or with some fresh air and sun on their outdoor patio.
