John D. Concannon – Executive Host
John Concannon has had an accomplished career in community and government service, and the skills he gained shine daily in his work at Turtle Creek. After serving our country in Vietnam, John completed an undergraduate degree in education and a masters degree in guidance and counseling at the University of Michigan. For the next ten years John joined the U of M staff as an Admissions Counselor, then continued his career as Education Director of the Saginaw-Chippewa tribe. He came to the Grand Traverse Band in 1994 as a Youth Director and quickly moved up to Education Director. Not long after this promotion, John was elected to the Tribal Council. He worked for nearly nine years as a Tribal Councilor and Vice-Chairman of the Economic Development Corporation and Natural Resources Committee. This lengthy list of achievements has helped John gain the experience and perspective needed to be a team leader and executive host at Turtle Creek Casino. He looks forward to serving our guests in this new position and providing the exceptional personal attention they deserve.
